Gold chrome & glass Console table with two heavy (3/8”) glass shelves. Measures 54” w x 17” d x 25” h Etagere with 4 glass shelves. Measures 28” w x 17” d x 72” h
Purchased from local woman who says her grandmother received it from a “wealthy woman” next door with “expensive taste” in furniture who did not want them (they originally received three pieces; this one and two etageres— one etagere did not survive).
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a console table and etagere with the following measurements: Etagere: 28” w x 17” d x 72” h; Console table: 54” w x 17” d x 25”. The pieces are made out of a steel frame and glass plates. The design reminds of pieces made by Milo BAUGHMAN (1923-2003) designs that were often produced by Thayer Coggin. Usually, the pieces are labeled and marked.
Artworks of this artist were recently offered and sold on the international and national auction market.
This piece is in medium condition but there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 600 to 1200 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
