English long case clock circa. 1710
2metre (6ft 6in) oak wooden case with 28 cm (11in) brass clock face. in good working order and all original parts with the exception of the chains. the original chain is available. there are signs of damage and crude repairs on the casing and the lock on the pendulum casing is missing. The glass is original. The clock face has wear at 9.00 o'clock and carries a brass plaque with the name of James Green of Gloucester. He was most likely the seller of the clock at some point but unlikely to be the original maker due to the fact of the clock being around 100 years older than the period when James Green of Gloucester was active as a clockmaker.
Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000
