Hi Jonathan, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. The lettering on his vest is still hard to read - and I think it's probably in a Scandinavian language - but the link is very helpful, thank you! I've found a couple of these selling on LiveAuctioneers for prices ranging from $20 (for an unpainted one) to $110 with paint (https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/76313847_figural-bootjack) Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: An antique painted cast iron figural bootjack made by Bolinder, Stockholm, circa 1900 In the form of a man with his hands raised, raised lettering on his waistcoat that seem to read "HERRE / EXITUTRE / GARDEP," his knees slightly akimbo, with a protruding cuff from his back. Unsigned. 12 inches tall CONDITION: With pitting and oxidation, PROVENANCE: Acquired at auction $100-150* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary. Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto. ~ Delia
