You have a wooden panel made in Japan mid- 20th century. It shows, I belelieve, a Shishi (獅子, lion) or Komainu (狛犬, lion dog ) Its a Guardian for a temple or a protector in a house. Its a wooden lacquered panel with hand engraved depiction.
