My great aunt.Viola C Hill, a former missionary in China. She gave them to me.along with other things she brought back. She turned 100 in 1987 and passed away 4 or 5 years later. I believe she got them in China even though the artwork is Japanese on the vases apparently Her missionary work was probably in her twenties and thirties maybe through her forties I'm not really sure if she stayed longer after her forties because China was taking people out that were missionaries. But I know that they are both over 100 years old.
