Folding travel sundial Material: Ivory Size: closed 6.5 by 6.5 cm Open 13cm Weight: 85.17grams Condition: the glass and compass pin is missing and there are age consistent cracks on the surface ( see pictures)

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a recent ivory imitation sundial in the manner of Nuremberg sundials, manufactured in Asia in the 1990s or later. There are no Schreger lines visible but open air bubbles from the cast instead. Very similar to imitation scrimshaw carvings. Such reproductions were made to deceive the buyer and therefore have no market value.
