Oak dining room table and chairs
6 dining room chairs, 2 carver chairs (with arm rests), 1 oval dining room table, all made with Oak. The chairs have genuine black leather seats but in bad condition. The table is designed for 6 seats, approx. 1.8meters by 1.2meters. The set is definitely older than 1940s as it was already in the house when my grandparents got married in 1946, it is likely the set was custom made for the family in the 1920s, but I am unsure. There is no decorative markings, the set looks rather clean and modern in its design despite being more than 70 years old.

The family lived in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa since 1890, so I assume the dining room set was bought or made in that area.

According to my mother the table was originally stained darker than it is in this picture. It was completely sanded down in the 1960s to remove the dark staining.

Thank you for your additional information and your patience. The presented object is a dining room set including one dining table, 6 chairs and 2 chairs with armrests. They were made probably out of oak wood and the surface of the wood was later sanded down. The design is a hint that this dining room set was made in the mid of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Good Day, there are no producer labels or markings at all except for a few in white chalk underneath the table. They look like they were used to indicate where the pieces fitted together.
