This is a vintage, later 20th century, Hepplewhite Revival style drop-leaf side table by Lane from Altavista, Virginia. These were generally sold as a pair and intended to be placed near either side of a sofa. When the drop leaf top is fully opened, the form of the top is referred to as 'turtle top' as the shape resembles a turtle silhouette as seen from the top. Valuation is based on actual past auction sales. Retail and 'asking prices' may be higher.
