My parents were given a few "books" that were filled with Block Print pictures of Kabuki actors in their various roles. Fifty years ago their secretary, who was 40 to 50 years old at the time, had explained that her family lived in Japan during her childhood. Her parents brought a large amount of artwork back to the US and she inherited it when they died. She insisted on giving a couple of the Kabuki print books and other items to my Mother. My Mom had many prints framed and gave them as gifts to people special to her. I have 2 and another smaller print of a fish that's beneath the surface of a pond that has a signature. The artist used the least amount of stokes of paint/watercolor? possible and its simplicity is beautiful.
It's all in the 1st box on previous page.
