This urn was carried through the (Keyland Path) to Persia (Iran) at least 300 years ago ( as per Allan Reuter’s) A note was found in bottom of urn so don’t know how true that is The urn is approximately 13” high and 14” from handle to handle. I believe it is made of cooper and brass.

Not sure of the previous history as both the owners had passed away.

What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a persian Qajar Dynasty first half 19th century copper and brass urn with two handles, elaborately engraved with foliage and abstract motifs. It is old but rather provincial in choice of material and execution. The estimate is based on similar sold at auction. Prices in the trade are usually higher and can vary
