This was found in an attic of a 1958 home triple wrapped and one of the layers was newspaper from 1945 so I believe this had never been opened. This is a portrait of a young man and a gold ring and watch smoking a cigar
There were paint brushes from Germany with this and a few other items in a red velvet wrap . The back is signed

This painting is signed on the front side and reverse side of the canvas by Claude MARKS (1915-1991) and dated 1945.
