Description

I have a Bolta Photina II SLR camera that comes with its original leather case, lined with blue velvet. I also have the original instruction manual for the camera as well.

Provenance

I know that the camera was made in 1952 in Germany and this version of the camera was sold in the United States at Sears Roebucks, under a different name.

What does this mean?

Dear Zahina,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.

The presented object appears to be a German Photina II Reflex with original case and manual. This is a TLR (twin-lens reflex) camera for type 120 roll film (6x6 cm) from the early 1950s.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 250 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
Georg
