What does this mean?

Dear Pam,

Apologies for my late reaction.
You have a Chinese box with chips for gambling purposes engraved on mother of pearl around 1900 ( Guangxu period ). The box itself is well done but has damage of course. I have to take that in consideration. The quality of the engraving on the chips makes the price. Amazing daily life scene's or complete landscapes are expensive but more simple expressions are see more often. Your chips do not have high quality engravings and that must be taken also in consideration. I feel if you would bring this box into an sale, a price around the estimate would be reasonable.
