Provenance

I know this is 90 to over 100 years old. It was owned by my grandparents. The cord is cloth material. The glass rattles when you tap on it. The colors are in the glass, it is NOT painted. The lamp sockets have a pull chain. It was damaged by FedEx. I need to find out its value to figure out what to do. I do not know if this has any value other than as a family heirloom. Please help, thank you.

The specialist needs more information

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Mearto does not provide Insurance appraisals but what I can do it tell you what the original value was and - if I can see a photo of the existing damage - I can tell you what the current value is, including the damage. Not all insurance companies will accept that so please check with your insurance company and let me know so I can proceed.

Thanks,
Delia

With what you know, is it a Tiffany? And what is it worth non damaged

I will try to take a pic that shows the damage. It is hard to see in a photograph..... but in the mean time, like you said, what was is it non-damaged value? and is it a Tiffany?

If it were Tiffany, it would be marked on the base and the rim (usually) of the shade; I would be VERY surprised (and frankly suspicious) if this were marked Tiffany (should be LCT, or Tiffany Studios, or Tiffany & Co.; Dale Tiffany has no relation to the Tiffany company...
This looks most like a Bradley & Hubbard slag glass lamp with brass overlay. Marked B&H lamps usually bring a few hundred dollars at auction.
