What does this mean?

Hi Eva,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
You don't mention how large this is but I am guessing that the dimension is probably between 3 and 4 inches and have based my value on that; if I'm off that, please let me know as it may warrant changing the value. It's also customary to include dimensions in appraisals so I'll be glad to update this with the height and diameter, at your convenience.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Chokin-decorated porcelain circular covered jewelry box
Made in Japan, mid 20th Century
The lid mounted with a silver and gold-gilt engraved copper plaque depicting swans and flowers on a river, the white porcelain body with 24K gold banding.
