What does this mean?

Dear Dennis,

Indeed your bowl is made in Song Dynasty ( 960–1279 ) in China. It is a quite plain bowl. The chest itself is made in 19th century so it appears to protect the bowl or they just found a good fitting chest with the bowl. This bowl was not used to show of of has imperial aspirations but collectors would love to buy it. I believe if your bowl came to auction, and I take the small damage into consideration, it can make a price around the estimate.
