There was a business card in the box from a Fine Nautical Antiques store. I called the store but they are no longer in business. The name of the store: The Oar House Bill Wheeler 215 4th Avenue South Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 I took this item to a local antique shop and was told it is an all brass Sextant gifted to Captain H.Stewart.

The specialist needs more information

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This probably has the manufacturer's name on it somewhere (possibly on the part where the measurements are) - can you confirm?
Is it possible to get a photo taken from slightly farther away that shows the entire sextant in the box, as well as a photo of the box (both open and closed)?

Thanks!
Delia
