Red and Clear Art Glass Dish
Heavy kidney shaped clear glass dish with red glass interior. Very heavy at nearly 3 pounds in weight. The dish measures 7.5 inches long by 5 inches at it's widest point, and 2 inches tall. No marks or signatures present.

I do not believe this bowl is Murano, midcent.
Murano Glass is formed by hand essentially, thusly making each piece one of a kind essentially. The precise form of the amoeba or kidney form of your bowl indicated a mold would have been used in the manufacturing process. It is nicely finished and note the top edge is ground flat and even as opposed to Murano Glass which would not be ground after being formed, excepting for the bottom or base. Also referred to as the pontil mark, which this piece does not have on its base.
As this piece is flat on the bottom it does not appear to be from Italy or handblown, It is my opinion that it is either American, or possibly Bohemian, although the shape doesn’t resemble anything Bohemian I’ve ever seen. It appears to be from circa, 1970.

I apologize. It is modern day Czechoslovakia.
Oft referred to,as Bohemian crystal for,the high lead content in the glass itself, making for purity of color and clarity. As well, that is where weight in glass can come from, lead content.

No, I would not as it’s quality looks superb. I’m sure someone would ask $150-$200 or more, in a high end decorative arts gallery, or on a website that might specialize in high end glass.

Is this appraisal auction price or retail pricing?
Retail pricing of $100-$200,would be misleading for you if you were going to attempt to sell it.
$50-$75 is realistic for an immediate sale, I would not accept less. Red is a desirable color.

It looks very nice and based on its weight is a very good piece of glass. Intense red color, as well.
