What does this mean?

Hello Susan,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. I apologize for the delay in your appraisal and thank you for your patience. The item presented appears to be an etching by Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (Spanish, 1746–1828) titled "Ensayos" (Trials). The print is the 60th plate from the series titled "Los Caprichos." There are twelve known editions of the series. To determine which edition your print is from may require in-person examination. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this work and other comparable etchings from the same series by Goya, depending on edition. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
