I have a never used red leather bag of some sort. It could be a duffle bag or luggage, i dont know. that is part of what i want to know. It is marked Dell'ga with an item number 2798. It has 2 wheels on the bottom and measures 20x12x11. I am interested in knowing what it is, what age it is and value if any. thank you janine

I did a clean out of a wealthy individuals warehouse. It was in pile along with a vintage chanel purse.

What does this mean?

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

It is a beautiful Italian Dell'ga travel bag. Such vintage handbags and trolleys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
I am not quite sure if there is some kind of strap or stick to hold the bag if the wheels are used. However the design of the bag is very smart and modern. I would say that it was made within the past 20-30 years. The colour is bright and lovely and I think it would go well with today's colourful fashion trends.
What it was used for in particular is hard to tell, but because of the wheels it is some kind of trolley/luggage bag used for travelling and could be a carry-on piece of luggage. It appears to be in very good condition.

I believe that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online accessories and bags auction, where I believe the leather bag has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the Dell'ga. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.

What do i do to sell it?

Your item will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
