This is a wicker type basket purse. The wood lid has Old English playing cards embossed on it and on the inside part of the lid has a little mirror and a gold British Empire seal. I believe it's Queen Elizabeth seal with lion and horse and crown The interior of the basket has a cloth lining now yellowed.There are no other markings. Base of the purse is about 6 in wide and the lid at the top is about 10 in across The handle of the basket sticks up about 6 in.
