What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a mid 20th century Showa period bowl, hand painted with crysanthemums and foliage on a light green ground, marked at the base Bunpo Kutani 文峰九谷. Hand painted in gold colour on red ground the chinese seal script character "shou" ( jap.: kotobuki) for long life. The estimate is based on similar bowls offered or sold at auction. As always "asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
