Grandfather Chair is 3ft 2 in height. 2ft 4in wide.. The front right foot is larger than the other. Is this a trademark? Original Horse hair, original pattern weaving. Mahogany timber ? Original tapestry material can be seen below the button ties at the rear. Scrolls on timber arms & rear backing. Grandmother Chair is 2ft 10in high 2ft wide. The features are the same as the grandfather chair. This chair was fitted with brass castors,( which dated around 1780s/90s) may have been fitted later? Thank you Kind regards Glen Wyatt Australia.
I purchased these items & others in 1991/2 from my mates mothers estate. She was 90 years of age when passing. She inherited them from her mother in 1930s. She had them re upholstered in1960s.
