Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is a Machine Made Persian Style Rug. The piece dates back to the period from 1980 to 1990. The piece has a Persian Kashan style decoration. The piece is entirely florally decorated. The piece is also centrally decorated with a central medallion. The piece's central area was knotted on a dark blue base while the borders of the piece were decorated on a red base. The piece's motifs are composed of modern interpretations of floral bouquets in Persian style. The origin of production is unknown and it is not pssible to identify without a label but could well be Libya as machine made rug production was present at the time and the patterns of this sort was used as well. The piece does not have a collectible value since it was a mass produced machine made piece. The piece appears to be made with use of Wool material. The piece is in good condition without any visible problems.
