Dear Scott, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and my sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal. The presented object appears to be a British Model 1897 Infantry Officer's sword which is an officer's basket-hilt dress sword produced by Wilkinson. The blade is decorated with etched motifs and the Initials of Queen Elisabeth II. It has a foliate-pierced basket hilt and a wire-wrapped ray-skin handle. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, Georg
