Vintage Steiff Bear
This was sold to me as a Steiff bear. No id’s 14”, mohair, shoe button eyes, no growler. Retains most of his mohair. I would say he is in good condition.

Though there were Steiff bears that do not have the characteristic button ear-tag, the market is stronger for those that do. Your bear, relatively speaking is in generally fair condition given age and wear from us, though there are a good number of bears on the market in better condition.

The jointed bear with brown eyes, sewn nose, felt pads. Lacking tags.

Impossible to know for certain without the ear tags. Looks enough like a real Steiff bear that it's not wrong to say "Steiff style."
I beg to differ. There are many ways to determine a Steiff bear without ID’s.
