This is a vintage sealed bottle of a fine dessert wine made from apples that is produced in Switzerland by Desbaillet et Garnier. The distributor or negotiant for the brand is Marc Vieux. These bottles had the added whimsy of each having a hand carved wooden figure of a devil climbing a ladder which is much akin to the folly of a ship in a bottle. Yours has the added luxury leather carrying case. Generally, when these come to auction, they are sold as empty bottles with the wood whimsey still inside. Those sell for an average of $15 - $20. The estimate is based on recorded sales of comparables.
