I've not been able to find a comparable example upon which to base an attribution but have valued it favorably based on similarly impressive silver-plated table-top jardinières Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: An antique Victorian silver plated table-top jardinière Unattributed maker, American or European, mid to late 19th Century Of oval section with pierced raised rim tabs over a hammered body decorated with ornamental swags, the ends with stylized palmettos, all supported on four crane-form birds. With a removeable oval-section copper liner. Reportedly unmarked. 9-1/2 inches high, 13-1/2 inches diameter CONDITION: This centerpiece bowl is lacking three ornamental bows but otherwise appears to be in good condition; value assumes no dents, repairs or losses.
