Dear Karianne, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal. The presented object appears to be an autograph of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia about the proclamation exclaiming Edward Lawton to be the Vice Counsel to Cairo in the moslem year of 1345 or 1926 in the Western calendar. King Fahd was born in 1920, 1921 or 1923 – 1 August 2005) and was King and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia from 13 June 1982 until his death in 2005. The autograph is a caligraphy in Arabic letters and is signed by King Fahd. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 400 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, Gregory
