The artist, Frederick Lyle Morris, traveled the world while serving with the US Government for 32 years. A series of 24 paintings from his Saudi period were created from 1990 to 2020. This painting was first exhibited in Paris 2002 along with three other paintings from this series. They were then exhibited in Berling, Frankfurt and Aschaffenburg, Germany. While in Aschaffenburg, this series was exhibited at the German Bank and the Folksbank until 2002, then exhibited in New York 2002-2004, then the exhibit was sent to its Asian Tour of Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong 2004-2006, the majority of the series of 24 paintings were sold during the European and Asian Tours. Then from 2006-2010 the remaining 6 paintings were Exhibited at the Beacham Gallery, Colorado Springs, CO. Three of the paintings were then sent to New York where they were exhibited at Ft. Hamiliton, Brooklyn from 2010-2015, the remaining paintings were sold in New York 2019. This painting "The Market Place" was sold to a collector in Zweibruecken, Germany 2020, it resurfaced 2022 in New York where it was placed on exhibit, then exchanged for another painting by this owned by Luella Morgan. The painting "The Market Place" was then exhibited and sold by the Mid-South Artist Gallery, Feb 2022 for $6,000.00
