Templar sword from Masonic Lodge

I have been told that this sword is given to high ranking members of the Masons, and that this particular one has imagery associated with the Knight’s Templar. The blade appears to be polished steel while the hilt and sheath May be copper given the color of the metal as well as the greenish oxidation in some of the books and crannies in the hilt. Looking closely it is obvious that the sword was entirely forged by hand. Small inconsistencies in the shape of the stars all across the cross guard seem to indicate hand forging, as well as the etching and engraving all along the sheath and blood groove. I have been told that the grip is made of human femur bone and this does appear to be the case. There is a name engraved of Chas H Allen on the blade. Upon some internet searching, I found a Wikipedia article about Charles H Allen, a ranking politician and founder of Domino sugar. Was he the owner of the sword? I have no idea, but politicians and wealthy people seem to often be Masons. The sword in it’s sheath is 36 3/4” long and the blade is 27 1/2” long.

Dear Cody, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Regarding a technical issue, your messages/ images were not displayed. I very much ask for apologies for this delay. The apprised object appears to be a masonic knight templar sword which was made in the United States in the late 19th or early 20th century. Such pieces are quite often on the market. This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible. An estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD. This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary. With best regards, Georg
