Hi Richard, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. I've spent quite a lot of time looking through both marks books and online marks databases and can't find an exact match to this one but both the style of the porcelain and the mark are similar enough to ones made by Sevres that I am confident this pair is modeled after that, with the designation "Sevres style" being more than sufficient for this appraisal. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A pair of French Sevres style hand-painted and parcel gilt and gilt metal mounted porcelain table lamps [bearing an unidentified mark of an H within a curved A], late 19th Century Each of circular section with domed top, incurved neck, tapered urn body and tall flaring foot on a square plinth metal base with incurved corners. Surmounted by a lobed and pleated white fabric shade. The white body with gilt decoration in the form of netting, line and band elements, Each 37 inches tall, 6 inches greatest width. CONDITION: single lamp in photo appears to be in good condition; value assumes the other lamp is in as-good working condition with no chips, breaks, repairs or losses. PROVENANCE: inherited $500-800 for the pair* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary. Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto. ~ Delia
