Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. This Springfield 1873 Trapdoor rifle is in its original configuration, and is in good condition. It was manufactured in 1888 and chambered in .45-70 Government. The original finish of the metal is worn off, and it has been replaced by a stable, light grey patina. The stock is original, and has not been refinished. There does not appear to be any active rust or corrosion present on this piece. All of its accessories are also in good condition, including the sling, bayonet, and cleaning rod. Given the high condition of this piece, all of its accessories, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 2,000-2,200 dollars. Please reach out with any questions. Bo Stuck
