I found this brooch in the middle of a giant knot of faux pearls in a job lot of beads I bought from EBay. I did a reverse image search on Google & found the exact same brooch (with a slightly different colour stone) on Etsy, which said it was a Victorian brooch & made of silver with an art glass centre. It was on sale for over £300. I have gently cleaned the brooch, just to see the colour of the metal, but I have done no more as I don’t want to risk damaging it. I would like to sell it as Spider brooches aren’t my thing & I would like it go to somebody who would appreciate it. It’s in good condition, just a little dirty from what I can tell. Unfortunately, I have no idea who made it etc because there are no markings.
Dimensions
Body is 3cm long by 2cm wide. Including the legs, it’s 6cm long by 7cm wide

A Gilt Metal & Pink Paste Spider Costume Brooch, circa 1960's the abdomen mounted with a pink glass cabochon, with eight textured legs, 3.6cm x. I recommend gold plating as the gold has worn off over the years but in this state it has only very modest value, however more desirable when re-gilded.
