Dear Kelly, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the huge delay with the appraisal The presented object appears to be a Burmese Dha sword with unknown measurements. This sword was made out of iron and probably silver or a silver metal alloy. This needs to be tested physically. The slight golden tone of the material could be interpreted that this is more probable a white metal alloy or silver plated. This is an example of the highly decorated ceremonial versions of the Dha type of swords which are common in Thailand and especially in Burma. This piece was made in the 20th century. Comparables were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 300 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, George
