I acquired this and don’t know anything about it. If it’s saleable then I’d like to sell it. The stand collapses, and actual framed piece is 8 x 6 inches approximately. What caught my eye is the stitch work. It’s as beautiful in the back as the front. Since it swivels I assume the artist delighted in their work. I do stitch work so I can only imagine the time it took. It appears to be hand done but if it a machine piece I know it’s not worth anything.

Dear Lori, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the huge delay with the appraisal The presented object appears to be a Japanese embroidery on silk with the measurements of 8 x 6 inches. The embroidery depicts an village and comes with a stand that was made in China. Both pieces were made in the second half of the 20th century. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, George
