Hello Patricia, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, decoration and the style, I concluded that this is a Contemporary Decorative Pre-Columbian Style Small Vase. The piece has likely a god depiction on it with Pre-Columbian style adopted. It has a circular rim as well as a circular base. Some etchings can be found on both sides, they are depicting a labyrenth pattern in again circular shapes. The face of the god figure is depicted in almost a frowning expression. The expression reflects the authority and the power of the depicted god. The piece is a contemporary reproduction, therefore dates back to the periods between 1960-1980. The figure doesn't appear to be attached to the body and this is not the case in authentic pieces usually. The piece is made in terracotta colour. The feet of the god depiction is rather made simply without details. The piece appears to be in good condition without problems. Entirely hand made. Dimensions: 3 1/2 Inches High by 4 Inches Wide and 4 Inches Deep Condition: The piece appears to be in good condition without problems. Provenance: Purchased from a Goodwill 20 years prior. Heavily decorated by traditional Tabriz patterns. 30-40$. Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.
