A group of 11 vintage folk art painted children's nursery rhyme panels
unattributed American artist, early/ mid 20th Century
Comprising: "Simple Simon," "Jack Be Nimble," "Little Bo Peep," "Little Jack Horner," "Old King Cole," "Humpety Dumpety," "Tom Tom the Piper's Son," "High Diddle Diddle," "Little Miss Muffett," " I Saw a Crooked Man," and "The Cow Jumped Over the Moon"
each 5 by 7 inches
CONDITION: all appear to be in good condition, with hanging hardware mounted to the top of each on the verso
PROVENANCE: acquired at an estate sale
$approximately $20-30 each, or $250-350 for the set*

Hi Delia:
There is no maker's name, only some sort of partially obscured retail tag on the back of one that says "Sleepy Hollow" and the rest is scratched out. The name of each Moother Goose nursery rhyme is hand written on the back of each painting. That is al.

I wonder if these were once sold by Sleep Hollow Restoration? These would make fantastic decorations in a children's nursery or library.
