Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A Classical mahogany desk and bookcase Possibly Southern, early 19th Century In two sections, the upper section with outstepped molded corner over two glazed cabinet doors opening to a shelved interior, the lower section with a hinged lid opening to a baize-lined writing surface, over two short over two long drawers, all on bracket feet. Secondary woods possibly yellow pine and poplar. 78 inches tall, 44 inches wide, depth of upper section 10 inches, depth of lower section 19 inches CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use.
