Possibly a Farahan Sarouk rug. Close to a 3X5 size. Condition issues on the fringe and the sides and fading in a few spots.
This item was purchased at a local Charleston thrift store. Nothing is know of its history.

Made in Iran, probably 1925-50
The central red field populated with stylized foliate motifs, within a navy border, cream selvedges (fringe trim).
approximately 3 by 5 feet
CONDITION: worn but generally in fair condition; selvedges trimmed.
PROVENANCE: acquired at a Charleston, SC, thrift store
