Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. It is a lovely and very charming teddy bear. Vintage soft toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis however the quality and rarety varies. Thank you for the additional photos and information. As you state your teddy bear is a Columbia teddybear called The Laughing Roosewelt teddy. It is mechanical so when you press the tummy the mouth opens and teeth are revealed. This particular teddy model was first made in 1907, and is characterized by the open/close mouth with teeth, the long thin limbs and the fairly long body. Your teddy appears to be in very good condition with only minor signs of wear and usage, this is very important to potential buyers. It is a rare teddy bear that is not seen at auction often so I believe that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction. The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the teddy has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the charming Roosewelt laughing teddy bear. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help. Thank you
