Hello Alex, Thank you for sending in this rather complex new Rolex watch to mearto.com for an appraisal. TITLE: Gent’s, self-winding, stainless steel wristwatch with white gold bezel, annual calendar and two time zones, a stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with trademarked deployment clasp, “Sky-dweller, Oyster perpetual, Superlative chronometer, Officially Certified” model, Ref. 326934-0005, case number and serial number not supplied, made by Rolex, Geneva, Switzerland, circa 2020/2021. Accompanied by the original fitted box, warranty card, warranty manual, instruction booklet, extra link, green seal DESCRIPTION: CASE: 42 mm diameter, round stainless steel watch case with a white gold fluted bezel and screwed down fluted steel Twinlock double waterproof (100 metres / 330 feet) winding crown with screwed down case back cover and harp shaped lugs which integrate the watch with a stainless steel Oyster-steel bracelet with a trademarked deployment clasp and flat three piece links. Monobloc middle case. The white gold bezel revolves and is bidirectional and works with the fluted crown as a sort of gearbox for all functions adjustable through the sophisticated 'Ring Command' system. The fluted bezel functions as sort of a gear box with three positions, enabling the user to set the date, local time and second time zone through one single position on the fluted crown. It features an annual calendar and a second time zone function. The annual calendar has a regular date display @3, while the month is displayed through apertures at the distal end of the luminous hour markers. The latter is indicated through an off-center 24-hour disc at 6 o'clock. Sapphire crystal bezel. Dial: A round bright black dial with luminous baton hour indices with a second part, the distal end of each baton being used for the months of the year as a part of an annual calendaring system. There is an open bar minutes/seconds ring to the outside divided into half seconds, A Coronet is placed at 12 just above the Rolex name. The current date aperture with magnifying glass sits @3. The second time zone is placed off center in the dial center and is in Arabic 24 hour form, a red triangle sits above just under the Rolex name and indicates when needed the time in the second zone. (On your dial it is basically hidden from view as all the hands are gathered together to point in one direction.) There are blunt luminous baton minute and hour hands with a counterbalanced steel center seconds pointer. The dial is marked Rolex (above), sky-Dweller, Oyster Perpetual Superlative chronometer, Officially Certified (within the second time zone), and Swiss Made at the base of the dial. The numerals have a highly legible Chromalight display with long-lasting blue luminescence when in the dark. Movement: Not shown but assumed to be the Rolex caliber 9001, a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding, dual time zone, annual calendar that is precise to within 2 seconds per day. Its functions include: Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Additional 24 Hour Hand (adjustable) | Date, Annual Calendar, Month | Chronometer functions. Has a second time zone with 24-hour display on off-center disc, the time read from the read triangle adjacent to the second time zone dial. Instantaneous annual calendar at 3 o'clock and rapid-setting of the date. Month display via 12 apertures around the circumference of the dial, associated with the baton hours of the primary dial. Also has a stop-seconds functional for precise time setting. The movement has the Rolex. Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, bidirectional self-winding via perpetual rotor with a power reserve of 72 hours (3 days). CONDITION: Case, dial and movement in brand new condition with proper paperwork. HISTORY OF THE Rolex Sky-Dweller watches: The Sky-Dweller was introduced at Basel World IN 2012. Not only was it the first completely new Rolex model since the Yacht-Master in 1992, but it also represented the brand's most complicated model to date. Courtesy of its caliber 9001 it features an annual calendar and a second time zone, with all functions adjustable through the sophisticated 'Ring Command' system. The first variant of this complex system was produced in 2017, the 326934-0001. History of the caliber 9001: Calibre 9001 is a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Introduced in 2012, it is one of the most complex calibres ever created by Rolex watchmakers. Nonetheless, it is engineered to ensure simplicity of use: a selector wheel on the outside edge of the 9001 ensures the interaction of the movement and the bezel of the watch to set the Sky-Dweller’s functions. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, the 9001 is a certified Swiss Chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. Its architecture, in common with all Oyster watch movements, makes it singularly reliable. There have been moments when the Fair Market Value (which we determine for you in this appraisal/valuation) has surpassed the retail marketplace. This makes determining appraisal value with pinpoint accuracy much more difficult since the Fair Market Value is changing almost on a weekly basis and evidence of sales becomes difficult to find. The FMV and the RRV depend solely on finding evidence of sales, and NOT on cash or prices offered to the client. When our clients believe the FMV supplied to them, is on the low side, we ask them to provide evidence of sales of your reference wristwatches to back your claim. If these are found to be legitimate and correct, I will be happy to adjust the price range of your own watch. Therefore, offers made for your watch are NOT acceptable, only evidence of recent sales. PRICING: Your watch is both complicated and beautiful. If you went to sell it today to another person who is NOT a dealer, but more like your neighbor, or on the regular auction market (which charges you 25% goes to the auction house) the fair market value would be in the range of $25000-$27000. On chrono24 the average price appears to be in the upper 20K range and the retail value appears to be in the mid 30K range. Sales on EBay truly give you a better feel for the fair market value because it is usually an individual (not always), not a dealer who is trying to sell his watch. Your fine watch will only increase with time if you take good care of it. Thank you for choosing mearto.com for your appraisal. Mearto.com automatically doubles the fair market value provided to reach a retail price, so take that with a grain of salt. My best, David
