Hello Riza, Thank you for sending in this 2021 version of the Rolex Cosmograph to mearto.com for an appraisal. TITLE: Gent’s, 18k yellow gold and ceramic, self-winding, water resistant(100m), chronometer, triple subdials, chronograph wristwatch with Oysterflex Rubber Strap with a Flip Lock extendable 18k Yellow Gold Deployment Clasp, “Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer, officially certified Cosmograph” model (latest Paul Newman model), Ref. 11618LN, made by Rolex, Geneva, Switzerland, circa 2021. Accompanied by box, paperwork, but no warranty card. PROVENANCE: Purchased from dealer/gallery. . Original Rolex box, warranty document but not the card, hang tag. Dealer advised it was from 2021. I have the original box and some documents but do not have the warranty card. I would like to send it to Rolex and get a new warranty card. (I would see if you can do this because I have great difficulty telling this watch from the model Cosmograph that came out in 2017-2019, and if you purchased it from a dealer, I would certainly want to know that you purchased a new 2021 model which was first shown in 2020.) DESCRIPTION: CASE: 40mm diameter, tonneau shaped case with round dial, yellow 18k gold case with a monobloc middle case, screw down Triplock crown protected by the rounded blunt gold guards, screw-down case back, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and perfectly complemented by the black Oysterflex bracelet The crown should have the Coronet logo with three dots. (super-elastic metal blade molded over high-performance black elastomer and is particularly resistant to environmental effects and very durable). The bracelet comes with an 18k gold fold over clasp. The bezel is black ceramic with an engraved tachymetric scale registering speeds of 400 miles or KM per hour. The screwed down crown is flanked by two round fluted gold screwed down chrono graph pushers. The sides of the case should be well polished gold and appear to be the quality of a dress watch Dial: Luminous (Chromalight) Black Paul Newman Dial with luminous boat shaped hour indices surrounded with a gold rim, open bar minutes/seconds ring measuring times to one fifth of a second. There is a Coronet @12. The dial has three subsidiary sub-dials: continuous seconds @6, 30-minute register @3 and 12 hour register @9, faceted gold baton hands and a red center seconds chronograph pointer. The dial is marked, “Rolex Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified Cosmograph, Daytona” (in red) and Swiss Made at the base. Movement: The Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with calibre 4130, a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Its architecture incorporates far fewer components than a standard chronograph, thereby enhancing the movement’s reliability. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements, the 4130 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. The chronograph movement features a Parachrom hairspring, offering greater resistance to shocks and to temperature variations. The Rolex calibre 4130 is self-winding, 30.50mm in diameter, made with 44 jewels vibrating at 28800 beats er hour with a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement dial and case are signed. Condition: Case – Excellent and as new. Strap is a three-strip strap with a provision to squeeze the proximal end (near the case) and tighten the strap on your wrist. Dial – Appears to be in near perfect condition Movement – Not seen but assumed original, genuine and functional. I would put a fair market value on this watch which has little record of a fair market value since it just came out this year, falling in the range of $45000-$55000. The retail value appears to be in the $50,000 range also. (Mearto automatically doubles the fair market value which is not appropriate here but I cannot prevent that.) I think that you will need that warranty card from rolex if you plan to sell this watch. Thank you again for using mearto.com for your appraisal. My best, David
