Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. This is a mid 1800s plains rifle with a beautiful tiger stripe stock. The piece is in overall good condition. It is missing a brass diamond insert in the stock midway down the barrel, and the ramrod is broken. It is also missing the front sight. The forward ramrod hanger is significantly bent. The metal is in excellent condition. The engraving is still sharp and legible, and most of the original bluing remains on the barrel. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 500-550 dollars. Please reach out with any questions. Bo Stuck
