Hello! I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal. Considering the photos, this item is: A vintage Pink Murano Sommerso glass bowl. The Sommerso technique was originally developed in the 1930's by Antonio Da Ross. Sommerso (Italian for "submerged") is the Murano glassmaking technique of creating two or more layers of contrasting glass without the colors mixing together. It is formed by dipping colored glass into molten glass of a different color, before blowing the glass into the required form. Unfortunately there is no signature or label to attribute this piece to a certain artist, but according to the techniques from the picture it follows the Ermanno Toso style from 1950s-1960s. There have since been many other factories in the Murano region which have made pieces in this style, and as such it is difficult to be certain of the manufacturer without labels or signatures present. The bowl consists of three layers of glass: opaque lattimo / milky glass; the layer of cranberry-red glass over it inside the bowl; clear glass coating covers the entire bowl. It is also 5x6in and 2.5 in height; no chips. No hairlines, very good / fine condition. Artist: Unknown Condition: Very good condition. Estimated price: This piece has an estimated price of $ 150 - 450
