Hello Jaime, Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. I apologize for the delay in your appraisal and thank you for your patience. The item presented appears to be a serigraph by German-American artist Peter Max (born 1937). The image is titled "Golden Time" and was original created in 1972. The print appears to be signed and dated to the lower right (next to the Arches paper watermark) and marker "PP I" to the lower left, indicating the print is a printer's proof. This print would fall outside the known edition run of 100. It is very nice to know the print likely came from a friend of the artist and has a home along with other Peter Max artworks. Unfortunately, there are no recent auction records of a printer's proof edition of this print. However, the estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of other printer's proof of artist's proof editions on similar prints by Peter Max during the early 1970s. Additionally, the records of the "Golden Time" print were found and the estimate here is above those records in consideration of the printer's proof edition. It might be important to note that other "retail" or "private sale" offerings were found for $6,000 - 9,000. Those prices were not considered in the evaluation as those prices are not a fair market value. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
