The piece likely dates back to the period from 1980 to 2000. The runner rugs are carpets that are designed specifically for halls and corridors. The piece was designed and knotted in Isfahan patterns, Isfahan is a Persian city close to Tahran and it is known as a center for weaving for centuries. Your piece was nt centrally decorated and therefore does not have a central medallion but was decorated with continuous duplications of a single pattern. This pattern is all florally decorated with classical Isfahan, Tabriz style larger flowers and was centralized by a round, circle like flower. Patterns were connected eachother with interpretations of "Herati" pattern. It is usually known as a rotated square or a symmetrical bow type of a motif between floral figures.
