The piece was likely made in United States or at least made in a factory commisioned by a company in United States. The machine made piece’s history goes back to early 20th century and for some textile to 19th century. The piece dates back to the period from 1930 to 1940. The piece is entirely florally decorated with Persian style vases and decorative elements, the piece can be considered as an early example of machine made oriental rugs. The piece does not hold an antique or artistic value since it was not hand made but was machine made. The piece was partially centrally decorated with a vertically aligned central medallion composed of several figures of vases and trees. The central area was knotted on a red base while the borders were decorated on a dark blue base.
