Hello Rhonda, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, motifs and the colours, I concluded that this is a pair of Cobalt Vases with Printed Decoration, probably Chinese. The body of the pieces resemble the Satsuma Style vases which were reproduced heavily by the Chinese in 1970-1990 period. This pair dates back to 1980-2000 period. The decoration elements on the pair are printed in golden tones of colours. The pattern depicts a natural scene with floral motifs and butterflies. Each piece has two handles, placed on both sides. Handles are gilted as we mostly see in pieces from this period. There are no visible maker's mark or signature. These are mass produced items to be sold as cheaper gifts and souvenirs. They appear to be in quite good condition without any visible faults. The neck of both vases are curved, this was also a heavily used decorational element of the period. Printed on Porcelain. Dimensions: 13 Inches Tall Condition: In very good condition without any faults. Provenance: They were part of porcelain lot, purchased at an auction. Decorated by golden coloured, floral pattern. 50-70$.for the pair Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.
