Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: An antique Louis XVI style ormolu mounted and marquetry mahogany and satinwood table a ecrire made by Paul Sormani, 10 Rue Charlot, Paris, third quarter 19th Century The shaped top inset with gilt embossed green leather over a frame fitted with three shaped long drawers, all raised on tall cabriole legs ending in gilt sabots. Top edge of central drawer bears metal ebeniste's plaque. 30 inches high, 51 inches wide, 29 inches deep CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use PROVENANCE: gift from a St. Paul, Minn., seminary $2,000-3,000* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
